Bestobell Steam created the Delta Element steam trap over 40 years ago to correct two age-old steam trap problems: steam loss and trap failure. Simply put, we wanted to create a steam trap that outlived the boiler, and did what the name implies....trap steam... and remove condensate.

Traditional trap technologies have inherent flaws that reduce your profit.
  1. Live steam escapes during the normal operation of inverted buckets and disc traps, right out of the box. Industry research has shown that the rate of steam loss increases with trap use. That is particularly true with disc traps...even ours.
  2. Steam traps wear out, especially cyclical discharge traps. Inverted bucket traps and float & thermostatic traps have mechanical linkages and/or thin walled floats and bellows. Disc traps use highly polished (initially), hard metal discs, All of these designs wear out on a regular bases (typically between 6 months and 2 years).
